PROJECT 6

Have you heard of the term 'amphitheatre' before? If not, then here's what an amphitheatre is a large circular building without a roof and with rows of seats that slope up and away from a central area, used for entertainment such as sports competitions or plays. In short, an amphitheatre is an open stage.

Project 6 was divided into 3 parts; part A, part B and part C. As for part A, we had do at least 3 presentation drawings of the proposed amphitheatre stage design on A1 cartridge papers. They consists of: key plan, location plan, site inventory (all 3 are not to scale), conceptual design sketches and relevant bubble diagrams, site plan (with roof plan of the stage and landscapes with 1:100 scale), floor plan (1:50 scale along with the dimensions specifications), elevations - front, rear, right & left sides (1:50 scale), horizontal and longitudinal sections (1:50 scale), 3 details of structural joints (1:20 scale) and at least 3 perspectives drawings.

For part B, we had to make 2 reports. The first one was a progress report in which we had to hand in weekly to our studiomaster and the second one was a design proposal report aka the final report. And for part C, we had  to build a physical scale model of our proposed design with the scale of 1:5.

Our group or shall I say our company is known as Sky Surfer Production. Why did we pick that name for our company you may ask?

Sky Surfer Production was selected as our company's name as surfing up in the air may seem impossible but it has been proven that it is indeed possible to go sky surfing. In other words, our company is capable of completing the seemingly impossible tasks.

As for our company's logo, we got the inspiration from a few pictures;

We have selected sky blue as our logo's colour. We choose sky blue because it sets forth what our company is capable of which is persistence and determination. Another solid reason why we choose sky blue is because it indicates how our company comes up with new ideas during our design making process.

The process of making a masterpiece :D

Project 6A;

Before making the real model of our amphitheatre, we made a prototype first.
